I have finally seen a reason for me to have had a kid: "getting rid" of stuff by just giving it to them!

Noooo, I have a whole BIG pinboard dedicated to inspirations for sending fun mail. SOMEDAY I will follow your impressive lead!

I did a project not on my list, because this adorable dog needed some biscuits and we have "too much" bacon grease saved in the back of the fridge. Turns out that's a thing, I guess.

I made a post about it over in the pet section with a link to the recipe, more pic, etc.

*Staggers in, hair sticking up, nerves frazzled, and slumps in a chair, muttering incoherently*

Stay off the sidewalks!  Kidlet has his learner's permit!

Teaching young'uns to drive is not exactly a craft project but it will be taking up a considerable amount of my time.  There have been creative tire tread marks due to sliding on ice.

Oh oh oh -- There is this really cool tree limb that snapped in a storm.  The resultant breakage looks like a dragon!  Every time I drive past, I want to somehow snap some pics.  It would look awesome with a touch of paint - imagine glowing eyes!  Unfortunately it is on private property, on a busy highway, across from a daycare.  DH refuses to bail me out of jail if the daycare calls the police lol.

You all have been busy bees.  It's great to see all the projects and craftiness.  I did manage to make some crafts for a swap and get them mailed.  After the package arrives, I'll share pics.  Now I'm working on another swap package.
My itty bitty lip balm pots finally arrived in the mail so I'm going to make lip balm!  Fingers crossed it turns out ok.

The vests turned out so great. Are they meshy fabric? How was it printing on that, did you have to do anything differently?

I am envious of those beautiful socks and determined to learn how to knit them. I wear hand knit socks nearly every day and I know how to darn for when the inevitable happens but I'll always need more so I have to, Have To learn how to make them myself!

Bacon dog biscuits are now on my list!

JS mine turns 16 this year. I told him he's got to learn how to drive but it will NOT be me teaching him! Because I don't know how to drive myself. Nobody forced me to learn as a teen and now I'm just too scared.

Whatever the question, the answer is always CRAFTING! It's the fix for all the sicks. Makes me feel better every time.

and remember, ALWAYS USE THE GOOD BEADS, YARN, FABRIC!

Love you all, thank you so much for everything. XO

craftylittlemonkey, good luck to your son!  Several kids in my daughter's class were in no hurry to get their licenses until well after they graduated.   They definitely had a respectful and cautious attitude toward driving.  I don't blame you one bit for being scared.  As I explained to my kidlets, "I trust you; it's the other drivers on the road that I don't trust."

I managed to take a snapshot of the dragon tree that I mentioned above.  I wish I could have gotten a closer, better photo.

Yes, a healthy respect for the rules in driving is so important!

Thanks Lindy and CLM!  Yes, the mesh was a challenge.  Because of the holes I couldn't do anything fine like their huge website address which was a bummer.  Also I used an additive to lower the curing temp so that I could safely heat set the polyester.  It was fun.  I love doing new things.  Hopefully I'll get cracking on printing our Canada tees in a couple of weeks.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

utm, the vests are awesome! Kudos to you for having the stamina to finish a whopping 30 of them! I would have crashed and burned after the first three.

I want those Jaywalker socks something awful. Nothing beats hand knitted socks.

Your sweetie is grateful you found a use for the stored bacon grease, MistressT; just look at that face!

THE TREE IS THE DRAGON TALES DRAGON! Half of it, anyway.  Cheesy

I'm going to jump in a little late.  According to my old signature, the last time I tried this was in 2014, and I made all of 2 projects.  (To be fair, that was towards the tail end of grad school - I have much more time for crafting now.)

Updated 7/9/2017

Completed:
(1)My first amigurumi (supposed to be a bear, but looks more like a monkey to me)

(2)Swinub ami

(3) Penguin ami and (4)Erlenmeyer flask ami

(5) Sleepytime doll for my niece

(6 - 10) Ten art journal pages (x5!)
(11) Lisette floral dress

(12) Simplicity 3596
(13) Floral maxi dress
(14) Mint green raglan
(15) Star wars backpack for OWS
(16) Stuff sorter for OWS

Hope to do:

Sewn:
Simplicity 2151 in gray and whale polka dots
Jacket express in brown corduroy
Steampunk skirt
Gambit coat muslin
Olive green military jacket
Jersey button up
Vogue 8766 - sky blue, boucle version
Sleeve board cover
Flannel button down shirt
Butler T-shirt quilt
Stretch goal: the two other t-shirt quilts we have shirts for, but one is better than I've done the last five years

Knitted:
"My First Sweater"
"My First Socks"

Misc:
Latch hook heart rug
