I made these two new wreaths for winter decorations for the house, after getting the plywood bases on discount while shopping this week.  It's my first completed project for the new year!

They were originally chalkboard plywood pieces from Walmart - Boooooooooooooooring...

This took a lot of stages, and intensive glittering... but I am happy how they turned out.  Right now, the two of them were hanging out on my french doors in the hall, but they are double sided and will hopefully hang out in in my new bay windows next year - the bay windows Jim hopefully will put in this year that is.

Many more pics and more information of how I made them on my blog if anyone is interested...

Thank you.  It is making me think that I would like to get a couple of more and decorate them too.

That's what I was thinking!  I never knew I was a glitter kind of girl, until I discovered the icy translucent glitter... now I wish I can get the stuff by the bucket load!  I would have added another layer to make it more dense and thick - but Jim was kind of resenting that I had taken over the entire kitchen and dining room with paint and glitter... and the dog got a bit glittered too.  We disagreed on how cute he looked glittered!

Glitter is definitely a hypnotic thing in my local craft circle. No one can deny that glitter is enchanting Wink I love all your layering and colors and glittering on this wreath. It came out really lovely!
