I have had the Necessary Clutch Wallet pattern for over a year now; but I only just now got around to making one...I mean two. I decided to make one for my boyfriend's sister (who I am meeting for the first time this Christmas) for Christmas...and now I had the excuse to make one for myself. To practice of course!

Kermit is for me. Looking at this I just realized that the bling on the flap is slightly off. Luckily, it is mine and I don't care. My picture does not show the Miss Piggy dangle I got for one of the zippers. I couldn't *possibly* have a Kermit wallet without having Miss Piggy *somewhere*!

This is a SOLID wallet. I used 809 on the body and the card slots. I used 101 on the pockets. I have to make two more after Christmas and might use 809 on the pockets too next time. I like how crisp and solid it makes it feel.

Kermit was made with quilting cotton and denim.

The Northern Lights is for the boyfriend's sister. Since I haven't met her I thought she might be more open to a wallet than a purse. I'm making a purse for his Mom; but I've met her and have seen the type of purse she carries.

This wallet is made with quilting cotton and waxed canvas. It will come with a wrist strap and a shoulder strap.

Man this needs an iron before I give this to her!

I love both...the first for the subject matter and the second for the fabric!

If you want to make one and are on FB, join the FB group "NCW Addicts." They have A LOT of expertise that they are willing to share, and all sort of files to give you add ons, and changes to the original pattern.

Those both turned out really nice. I love Kermit but that Northern Lights fabric just works so perfectly with the pattern so it might have to be my favorite. Love it on the inside too. Such a nice touch.
