We scored an almost new stand mixer from kijiji a while ago which I have sadly been a wee bit terrified to use  Undecided. The mister had some time yesterday to download the instruction booklet for me and print it out (and then read it and tell me what to do, ha ha ha!).
I'm impressed and will be using this machine regularly for sure.

The first thing we tried out were sugar cookies. I doubled the recipe so there were dozens of them but I boxed them all up before taking pics, oops.

I got the recipe from this site.

I omitted the almond extract and didn't frost them, they are very good as is.

We delivered boxes to our neighbours last night, along with tins of mixed candy and chocolates. It was super icy out so we told the kids we were going skating, and we sort of did!

They look great! I have yet to master the art of cut out cookies myself and am always impressed with those who can do it! You are gonna love your stand mixer, especially the dough hook with all the bread you make!

I tried it with salt dough for ornaments this afternoon and it didn't work at ALL! Drr, I have to practice with that thing.

The cut out cookies with this recipe were so easy, there was really nothing to it. It's got the texture of play-dough, super easy to roll etc. Try it!
