I made this shawl for my Mother-In-Law for Christmas.

The warp is black tencel doubled in a 12 dent heddle for 24 ends per inch.  The weft is some of my handspun yarn that I posted here.

It is about 80” long and 18” wide plus 6" twisted fringe.

I really love this! So often with our handspun everything is really, um, colourful so it can be hard to actually match or wear out and about. With this you could wear it with so much of your wardrobe, I bet.

Ah! Homemade gifts are so awesome. I agree with Arienna - it looks super versatile and nice. The fiber you used for the yarn was fantastic. I can't tell if those flecks of color really show in the shawl, but they were dreamy looking. I would love to see more detail in the weave if you have time to post more photos Cheesy.

I was having a hard time getting the colors right in the photos, but here are a few more.  In person you can see bits of yellow, green, and even blue.

I can definitely see more variation in the color now though! I like the little opened weave detail towards the end, too. The shawl looks great Smiley Thanks for sharing the extra photos!!
