I finished my first origami Venus Kusudama ball! Omg it took me foreverrrrr. It's 36 individual flowers sewn together, with gold glass beads, a 3D bead ball that I made, and a little paper crane. There's a teal Swarovski crystal at the center of each flower, and holographic glitter nail polish around the edges of each flower. The thread is teal with silver foil woven into it, so it sparkles, too. The ball is about 3" across. If I have the patience, I'm going to try to make a cactus one next!

This is SO much more than just origami! What will you do with the ball now that it's finished? Do you have a special place to hang it?

Thank you! Right now it's hanging on my tree, but when it's not on the tree, it has a special place hanging from a hook at the center of the fireplace mantel. I don't want to hide this one in a box for 11 months out of the year!
