I was in the ornament swap and was inspired to make some wood slice ornaments! I've been wanting to make some and this got me to actually get going.

I was lucky to have a piece of cedar that was already peeled, sanded, and kiln dried, and ready to be cut into slices! I also had some juniper that I had cut down this fall, so I used a couple pieces of that. That turned out to be a little buggy, so I treated it with some borax and kept it for myself.

Here are the finished products...

First is the cedar piece I made for my swap partner...

And the other side...

And here are the rest that I will keep or give to family!

And the other side...(these are glittery!)

These were done by using a standard craft wood burner tool and some acrylic craft paint. I used little screw eye hooks and ribbon to hang with. I got inspiration for the images from Pinterest and some adult coloring books Wink .

Gorgeous! We've been watching a lot of Bob Ross videos lately so the mountains and snowy tree scenes are my faves but they are all super nice. The mushrooms, tee hee hee, keyoot! Grin

Thanks everyone! They were really fun and easy to make! I've been wanting some more rustic ornaments, but they are so pricey! I had all the supplies so I finally just went for it!

These are fantastic! It's really beautiful how the rings on the first ornament look like the sun.
