That is crazy cool! Like fabric origami with what I know is a vintage button (I recognize it from my granny's button box Cheesy), so neat!

I also got a gorgeous metal chain mail star from Onyxnox (did you buy the pointy bits, or make them somehow??) I love it.

Thanks for updating me everyone!

Those pointy bits are called "scales", and are aluminum.  You can get them at chainmaille jewelry suppliers - or just chainmaille suppliers like Hyperlinks, or the Ring Lord.  I got a variety pack of colours awhile back, and they can come in such pretty bright colours.

Love the fabric origami - and the funky festive fabric patterns!

Lol they are actually from a book about fabric origami. They are sooo much fun to make. And surprisingly not that hard, just alot of pressing and some hand sewing.
