here's my recent work - trying to achieve a 3D effect by gluing together different layers of plywood.

That looks pretty coolIve seen similar arrangements done with paper and cardboard, but not plywoodI think that medium works well here, because of the greater thickness of it versus the two previously mentioned materials, which gives the layers more depth.  Is the linework done with lasers too or did you use a wood burner, ink, paint, etc.?

Thank you! I painted the boards - one is black and another one is white. Laser cutting and engraving was done on a white board. The black board was literally used as a background. As you probably notices, there is a couple of different shades of brown and all that was achieved through laser engraving. Once you start playing with the speed and the power of the machine, you can get as many shades of brown on wood as you wish.

your pieces always make me want to find a laser cutter to fool around with, its so neat how you get variations in your colours from the machine itself!
