Hello! I have been away from Crafster for a looong time, but I am back! In my own house, now, too! So whilst I'm nervous about sharing all my crafty endeavors,  I'm excited too. I thought I would start with my newest project, my bedroom.

My partner and I love the late 60's to early 70's, and after finding a few beautiful pieces, I finished off the room with a wardrobe. (At least, i've told my boyfriend I've finished Wink muahahahaha)

I have wrote a loooong blog post going into all the details, and the hillarious misadventures in picking up the wardrobe (Ok - hilarious now we are home - not so much at the time!!) If anyone fancies a good laugh at a fellow obsessive DIY-er.

I don't really have any before pictures, only one of the wardrobe we had to replace! (My blog also goes into THAT.... Roll Eyes)
So, I am just going to upload all the pretties! I absolutley love the space now, it feels bright, and cheerful, and soothing. <3

Sorry the lighting is poor, it's dark in the middle of the day here at the moment!
This is the wardrobe, a bargain of Ebay, just needed a light sanding and re-varnishing!

The two throws are heirlooms, the knitted one was made by my Grandfathers Grandmother! And the crochet one my Grandmother brought whilst travelling in her 20's.

This side board we got for free of Freecycle - It's absolutley gorgeous, and gives us much needed storage!

I put a shelf up above the bed, instead of a headboard - it gives us a reading light, or down lighting. It just creates a little focus in the room Smiley

I should have put the lamps on for this photo. Oh well!

And the Beast!!!!This is the awful wardrobe we had in the room to begin with;  I also scored this of Gumtree for a bargain, but it just did not work in a tiny cottage bedroom, it was huge, and black, and oppresive. Like staring into a black hole of death everynight. Important lesson learned!

I'm debating building a headboard of some kind - does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you so much for looking, I'm excited to be sharing again!

Looks great! I love that you have those heirloom covers on your bed. That's so sweet!

Goodbye, Craftster. Thanks for the memories.

Thankyou both! Rackycoo, our little home is filled with heirlooms and furniture that's been passed on to us!  Cheesy
