My mini group had a challenge a few months ago, to make a steampunk pet.  I went through my small animals, and the elephant yelled "pick me!"

He became a steam-powered mini elephant, with seating for one:

I'm afraid he's gone on a rampage and is attacking the Eiffel Tower.

I don't know what group you are in, but this is AMAZEBALLS!

How much of this was assembled and how much fabricated? I don't recognize some of these pieces, and they fit so well!

He's mostly assembled, aside from the "pipes," fabric, and leather.  I made him entirely from stash, so don't remember where everything came from.
The elephant (acquired somewhere sometime) is posable, and about 6" from rear heels to trunk tip.
saddle and straps are leather
dials and gauges were printed, then coated with clear nail polish
copper pipes are heavy copper colored wire from Walmart, wrapped with fine copper wire
I don't know where the nifty big fringy metal saddle pieces came from--might have been earrings.

from ebay:
watch gears
stamped metal pieces, some from ebay, some from elsewhere
foot decor are nail art pieces
binoculars, painted with copper nail polish
copper chain and the nifty bobbles I hand-attached

BTW, I won the contest.  Nobody else entered!

This makes it 10x better! I love hearing where you pulled everything from!

I'm happy you won (even as solo). He's super keen!

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.
