Our friends throw a Barter Party every autumn where people gather to trade things they've made, grown, canned, caught, etc. with each other. This year I decided to make some bacon jam to trade for some goodies that we can't make, grow, can, or catch.

One requirement is that things you bring to trade are clearly labeled... this one slips by some folks, but I make up for it by overdoing it. Wink I can't help it!

I used this recipe which I found through pinterest:

The pig art was found online: It was made by Enterprise IG for Ogilvy & Mather

Thank you! It's good with a breakfast sandwich, the site I got the recipe from has a recipe for it with warm brie and figs on crackers, we had it on our turkey burgers with dinner tonight, I've seen it on deviled eggs, pretty much anything that bacon would be good on.

I love personal swaps,  I print a lot of random fabric, usually with no purpose in mind.  let me know if you want any of it.

It's delicious with cheese, specially hard cheese with earthy flavour (Old Cheddar etc.). So yummy!  Grin

Perfect packaging! I'd grab some based on that alone, but the bacon jam sounds yummy, too, so win/win. Cheesy

That looks fantastic! How long does it keep? I think I read somewhere that meats need to be pressure-caned or they could still go bad. Or does the sugar and balsamic in the jam keep it from spoiling? Sounds delish!
