My brother-in-law is getting married November 5th and I decided for his wedding gift I was going to make some hand woven dishtowels.  His fiance's favorite color is black and based on their wedding registry they are going with a black, red, and white theme for the entire house.

I had originally planned on making a set of 2 black dominant and a set of 2 red dominant towels, but after finishing the first set, I decided they only get 2 towels. But I did make 2 crocheted sponges to go with them.

And the weaving details:
  • Made on my 20" Schacht Flip Rigid Heddle Loom
  • Used 10 dent heddle
  • Doubled the warp but not the weft
  • Used 8/2 unmercerized cotton in black, red, and white

These are so bold and intense! I like the alternating stripe styles you used. It looks like you did an amazing job again! Thanks for sharing Smiley

Wonderful work, Mel!  I think you're a weaving natural! It looks like you've achieved a very even beat!

Thanks Bella.  I'm really enjoying weaving. I'm sort of lamenting I got a 20" loom though, instead of a wider one.
