Crafting to keep insanity at bay.

I recently completed a bunch of embroidery work. Here is my project dump  Wink

The first three critters are hooped in a 3" hoop for reference, the last one was a bit too big and needed a 4" hoop.

This is also a lesson for not stitching in the dark haha. This was not supposed to be so pastel, but c'est la vie. It happens.

And then some snappy words for thought  Wink

I love these all so much!

Um... if you're ever in the market to unload any of them, you know, just cuz. Let me know, I'd be happy to relieve you of your burdens.  Grin  Grin  Grin

But really, these are lovely. It's neat to watch your progress from when you began working with stumpwork to now. I love being able to see the journey. Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful - I am so glad you lead with the butterfly - I love it in purple - *LOVE* it.  I look at mine from the Craftster Meet Up every time I sit at my craft room desk - it brings great memories and inspiration Smiley

Oh sheepBlue.

I mean. Srsly? (not even typing the whole word, THAT seriously)

Your stumpwork is glorious. The beetle made my shoulders come up with intense happiness! I think my phone is less than 6in from my face to get close enough! Is that the 3dimensional weaving on a comb? I've pinned it, but haven't bucked up enough as a hand stitcher to try it. (*sniff sniff* is that? I think...yeah, that's chicken in the air). Your striping and color choices were spot on.

I am also super drawn to the pastel insect as well. Although the colors are out of my normal wheelhouse, I think that's why I like it. The soft pastels are such a juxtaposition to the articulated topic, I think it makes it more striking.

And the snark hoops make me LAAAAUUUUGGHHHH. Ahhhh, yeah, those are good times.

Edit: I just saw the delicate root work on the flower. Lovely.
