Finally, after 3 months or 5 years of procrastination, depending on how you count it, I finally sewed up some curtains for the master bath for my home. 5 years, since that's how long we've lived here, 3 months since I finally found fabric I liked for the project.

I really wanted to use a thin cotton eyelet for this, since I wanted to still get all the light in the room that I could. Finally, I found an all-over eyelet pattern that wasn't toooo chintzy, on sale for ~$2.50 a yard at Joann's. While I knock Joann's a lot, they do have some decent stuff here and there. I also got some coordinating eyelet trim for ~3.75 a yard. For a total of 4 windows, I spent about $30 total, including hardware to hang them.

Once I had all the materials in hand, it was just 4 seams per curtain and I was done. Oh wait, there was also ironing (so much ironing), pinning, cleaning the serger, rethreading the serger, setting up the serger to do a rolled hem... but still, I finished all four curtains in a single afternoon of moderately distracted sewing.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
