Underthemountain and Alteredmommy ran a fabulous swap called the Craftster Trading Card Swap in August. The idea was to send a trading card with your image on it, and some stats about you on the back. (kind of like a baseball or hockey card) It was a really fun swap with a flood of snail mail.  For my card i decided to go with a medium that I like, but never do enough of: Needle Felting.

This is my needle felted me!

I manipulated the image in Pixelmatr, which is a photoshop like program, adding the back ground and frame, and words to achieve this:

Then I printed off around 35 of my images (and the back image) onto sticker paper, and did some paper craft magic to make them all the right size, and shipped them all off! It was an excellent swap!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

For a second there, until I read all of your text, I thought that you had actually needle-felted a portrait of yourself for everyone who participated in the swap; that would have been a crazy amount of work!  This was a really cool way to do your self portrait--awesome job!

I know!  I'd have been way late sending... lol this one alone took me a solid day and a half... It's a lot bigger than needed tho, so that accounts for some of the time... but none the less, it would have taken much longer than that to have made 27 individual 2x3 me's....
