I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

After knowing I would be making something for the fabulous kittykill in the IYP Swap, I figured a Hallowe'en themed thing was certain. What's better than Hallowe'en, right? So, like many of us, I began perusing Pinterest, which is normally time-consuming, fills my head with all kinds of ideas, and by the end of the initial search I'd gone from "Vintage Hallowe'en" to learning about terrestrial shrimp. True story. They are weird and they live in my ivy.

Anyway, the search turned up an image of a Vintage Cowgirl. I had no intentions of straying from the original theme, and was certainly not going to embroider anything. Whoops.

There is no way to tell from any of my pictures, but I finished the outside of the hoop by covering it with double fold bias tape and then adhering matching piping on the inside edge, creating a nice frame for the piece. I'll make a quicky tute for that if anyone is interested.

Here's a clue to your Easter egg, kittykill, in case you haven't discovered it yet!

This piece is amazingly executed! And really a perfect image for Kittykill! I know that the Easter Egg is going to be very meaningful to her, too. Smiley

I've been on this page for close to 10 mins and still can't believe this is stitched. The amount of detail is utterly astounding. I want to stare at it SUPER, CREEPILY CLOSE (in the best possible way).

Did you use sewing thread? And I would love to see your hoop detail treatment.

Stellar work!

*edit* saw photos from the gallery and it looks like one strand floss instead.

This is ALL MINE! I love her so much and she is going in my cowgirl/cowboy collection. Mark found the Easter Egg and then gave me hints, which then made me cry happy tears.

Thank you so much! It is absolutely beautiful.
