You ever just watch YouTube videos and get a sense that you can do things you really, really can't because others make it look so easy?  I got addicted to Simply Nailogical's nail art videos, and even though I'm lucky to get my nails painted a flat color, I'm hooked.  And, of course, trying things.  The biggest problem is that, as a crafter, the nail polish wears off the tips of my nails in a matter of days.  Too much yarn friction from knitting and crocheting, I think!

Anyway, this is my latest, based on one of her "how to cheat at watermarbling" videos.

I actually needed a smaller heart, but that was the smallest heart punch I had - I'd experimented with washi tape and a scrapbook punch in lieu of nail vinyls, and it worked!  I also wore a lizard on each thumbnail for a few days...

My favorite I've done so far had to be the Sharpie doodles, though...

Which I even kinda managed to do on both hands (I'd show you the other hand of the current manicure, but honestly, it's the basic painting that's letting me down, the white was a bit thick and goopy, though it had good coverage, so my edges are pretty messy):

(And yes, that is holo glitter polish over the sharpie)

I prefer the black and white designs in the first photo (and the fact that the ring finger rebelled against her sisters and went with white on black), but the glitter polished Sharpie doodles on salmon(?) look cool too.

The only thing I ever do with my nails is clip them.  Cheesy

I love her channel and am a self professed holosexual myself. I love how her hubby does a better job at water marbling than she does. So funny.

I really like the first look. I am into the black and white duo. Looks great.
