I used to mess around with making all kinds of beaded ropes.  I liked doing the actual crocheting, but hated having to lay out my pattern and string on all the beads(and hope I didn't mess it up) so I tried kumihimo.  I like how you can string some on at a time but I find it harder to visualize what colors should go on which strand and I don't like how you have to finish the ends more than in the crochet.

Since I seem to be all about seeing the bad sides of both, I wanted to hear from other people which one they liked better and why.  Maybe get some tips and tricks on either to help me.
