I go to a huge fan convention almost every year, and this year I wanted to wear a more topical costume.  Meet the characters from The Purge Election Year.

The masks all started life as a generic pack of paper masks.  Most of the other masks got a sculpting of air dry clay to modify the features AND brow ridges.  They then got a few coats of gesso.  The "Kiss Me" mask's eye strings were created by dipping parts of cotton balls into gesso, and letting them dry onto the rest of the mask.  The "God" mask features real cosmetics and dirt from a potted plant.

The Statue of Liberty mask was probably the hardest to create involving an electric drill AND a steady hand.

That glow in the dark mask is pretty creepy looking with the lights out! Bet you all looked pretty scary. I would love to see some action shots.

I really like the lit-up Liberty mask--it's very creepy and looks so strikingly different than when it isn't on.

Your repainted gun looks pretty realistic--I presume the "wear" is silver dry brushing?  I know you have to have those silly little orange plugs in the barrels these days for "safety" reasons, especially at conventions, so, it's a necessary evil.  I would say you needn't have marked your gun photo as mature though--it's just a toy and there isn't any violence in your image.
