My grandma passed away May 2015, and when I went to her funeral,  I inherited her yarn and crochet/knitting stuff.  This included almost 150 granny squares she had made.  She had 6 connected,  and I spent this past week connecting it.  The squares are 6" and the afghan is 10x12 squares. We lived hundreds of miles apart my entire life,  so I didn't get to spend much time with her,  but we had an amazing connection and I loved her deeply.  This is an heirloom my family will treasure for generations to come.

Very beautiful! I love these kinds of projects. When my grandmas health was deteriorating I helped her finish quilts for all the family. It was nice to help her accomplish a goal that was really important to her. I think your grandma would be so happy to know you've done this!

Doesn't it just mean the world to be able to do that sort of thing for loved ones?

It's great that you were able to finish your late grandmother's project for her; I'm sure that she would be delighted that you did so!  Obviously, you were the perfect person to inherit the components!
