I've always wanted a dress with a lace collar. I saw a really beautiful one in a store in Calgary but it was waaaay too expensive. But, I can crochet. So, I thought maybe I could kind of make a lacey collar of my own to wear over a plain dress? Here's what I came up with.

I definitely think I'm going to try and write this pattern down and post a tutorial on my blog. I've never written a pattern down before, so I'm a little nervous about it. XD

Really lovely! I would love to see it with the dress. I'll bet it's cute. And I just realized you can change the ribbon to match the dress. Even better!

This came out really nice, and I agree with Curiousfae that it's clever that you designed it so that the ribbon can be swapped out to match different colored garments.  Assuming you're not going to permanently stitch it to a dress, would you temporarily attach it with a pin or something, or just let it "float" free something like a necklace?

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Your collar is very intricate and delicate-looking. I'm sure it will be quite lovely with whatever dress you pair it with.
