I created this lil guy several months back and then a contest came up within the past couple of weeks, by a local reuse craft store, so I took some pix of him and entered him into it.  (To vote, you have to "like" him on their page.")  Then I decided that I should share him over here.  I've been kind of slack about sharing new projects.  I need to catch up.

Cork animals are awesome (as all of Craftster's little graphics can attest to), and I've never seen a reindeer done that way until now; great job!  I wish you luck in winning the contest!

Thanks.  I have to say that I did see one on Pinterest as the inspiration and then I tweaked it a lot!  It was getting so late last night that I forgot to add what the materials are.  And I just realized that his little red nose didn't show up.   Angry.

His "blanket wrap" is from an old fabric sample book.  The beading is from an old beaded necklace.  Brown felt round to cover up the antlers just to look cleaner.  Cut up cork for his legs.  And then a little pom-pom for his tail.  Obviously cork for the body, head and legs.  All of that was from their store.

Then the little red nose was a half bead sticker I was lucky enough to find and the twigs were from the back yard (much to, my kitties delight!  I have had to take them back several times and even found were one had hid a piece under his pillow in his crate!  Little scamps.)
