Hey everyone

I haven't posted in a while or completed many projects as I've been travelling! Now I'm back I decided to create something that I hoped would be cool, unique and fun for Father's day! I've not had an awful lot of feedback on him, which is worrying, what do you think?

Pretty cool; I've never seen a Tyrannosaurus Rex done in felting before.  I like the 3-Dimensional "Dad" on the base too!  How'd you mount the dino on said base?  Just glue, or is there some wire in there?

He's so cute! Looks like he's trying to sneak up on someone, like he has a cheeky grin, and hasn't chosen wether to eat his target or surprise them with a t-rex hug!

Ha! You are so right. Now this guy looks even more awesome to me. Now I am imagining a stubby armed T-rex hug sculpture - hilarious!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Hello!

I know its sounds silly but I've finally figured out where the reply button is!  Embarrassed

Thanks everyone for your support! Its very much appreciated, sometimes you wonder if your creation is at the very least OK and hearing opinions from people who are also fantastic artists really helps the creative journey!

To answer a few questions:

Pretty cool; I've never seen a Tyrannosaurus Rex done in felting before.  I like the 3-Dimensional "Dad" on the base too!  How'd you mount the dino on said base?  Just glue, or is there some wire in there?
I used an armature to pin him onto the base, particularly as I wanted to pose him. The lettering was tricky and I'm glad to hear positive feedback regrading the 'uprightness' of it, I was unsure but felt it looked much better this way than flat.

I think he is an excellent gift! You did an an amazing job needle felting him. I can't get over his teeth!
The teeth didn't quite go as I'd originally planned but and afternoon of felting dentistry and that's what we have Smiley

I absolutely adore this comment:

I am thrilled and overjoyed to have been featured (a first for me Cheesy so I have been grinning from ear to ear)! wohoooo! Smiley
