The May destash challenge was to make something subversive. Without getting super preachy, I think gender norms are pretty damaging to kids, and set up unrealistic ideals for adults. I work at a daycare and thankfully all the staff agree. We strive to make sure all the kids know they can do anything, and like anything, and phrases like "boys will be boys" are NEVER said. Therefore, the first thing I thought when I saw the 'subversive' challenge was f**k gender.

"Boys will be boys" makes my eyes roll so far back in my head that I'm pretty sure they're going to get stuck.

These are sick. I love them all.
