We've just moved into a new home so I'm busy collecting and making artwork for my walls at the moment.

We've also had a lot of visiting birds and there are some fat little babies about the garden too. This is a chubby little baby sparrow that my bloke has named Paul Cheesy

Very nice rendition of a sparrow--you did a particularly nice job capturing the feather pattern/colors on the head and wings.  I also dig the somewhat abstract looking backdrop.

Thanks so much! I'm rather fond of him, and I'm glad I did the background that way as it makes him get all the eye attention...little poser Cheesy

Oooh, what size canvas is this? It looks small be super packed with detail! I love the fact that you named him! I need to come up with a name for the bird family living on the fan on my deck, too (and probably figure out what kind of bird they are...).

Thank you! He's not that small actually, the canvas is about 15". I usually work smaller but I already had this canvas and I'm trying to use up some of my hoard Cheesy

You are right! He isn't that small at all! All the brush strokes have so must texture, I just figured it must be a tiny painting. I love it even more now I think Smiley

What a great way to decorate your new home! Your wonderful artwork + place specific images! And you'll always remember when you first moved in and met this little chubby Paul guy.

Any relation to Jack?
