Okay, I made some pages. Woo hoo!
P_E_S_T and I agreed to swap some art pages over the course of this next year. I liked the first one that I made for her so much (I can't share hers here because they aren't sent yet) that I decided to make for myself too. They are small, 5x5", but I am finding that I am enjoying the smaller space. I feel that it forces me to be more thoughtful about how I design each page. I have never made an art journal before but love art quilts so I have gone that route. These all have a layer of batting, fabric on the back, and are finished with a blanket stitch in embroidery floss. Here are the ones that I've made for myself so far this year.

This one represents my being a mom to three kids:

This one, well, I LOVE coffee!

For my love of birds. The little letter "B" is from a digital alphabet I got from Phizzychick.

This one is a bit obvious I suppose, a key to my heart in Oregon Grin. I grew up here and all my kids were born here, so yeah, I love Oregon.

That's it for now!

such nice personal journal pages!

I agree that a small space forces you to think about everything you are or are not going to put on it!

I think you did a fine job of highlighting the important stuff!  I really love your "mom" page!

It's been a very long time since this thread's been used, so I've asked for it to be closed.

If anyone wants to take over and start up a new art/altered journal craftalong, please feel free to do so!   Smiley
