If only we could all be as spoiled as a house cat

This project began by cleaning out my closet and a post on pinterest. With an extra backpack I rarely used, some sample tie dye fabric, and an old stuffed animal octopus, I made this deep sea travel buddy.

Its arms are hand stitched to keep them in that position, that probably took the longest amount of time. I deliberately made it into a turtle shell kind of backpack because it cannot be opened while I wear it, so its really safe to carry around in large crowds.

There are two pockets inside (one is sewn into of the head/body of the octopus)

I am really proud with the way this turned out, its first day out was to Disneyland where kids really loved it, plus it was easy to find me in crowds. The second day out was to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and a lot of people and staff gave me compliments.

ps. This is my first post to craftster, hello everyone!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

What a great idea! Completely worth the time consuming hand-stitching; he's too cool.
