I am absolutely obsessed with coloring books...I find that is is relaxing and helps me get creative and motivate to make other projects if I spend a little time coloring...I also love to experiment with pens, pencils, paint, markers, gel writers, glitter, etc.

In the Sunshine Swap, ChameleonHound sent me the cutest coloring book with cats...I colored a page the first day, using gel pens and glitter pens...well, after you color pages, then what?

I am using some of the pages to make junk journals, and I also cut some pages up to make notecards...

I decided to cut out each of the kitties and glue them on card stock to make notecards that I can use in swaps, etc.  Simple and fun!

What do you guys do with your pages? Grin

I haven't really taken to coloring books, but you have stumbled on a great idea! Cute cards. Smiley

Thanks!

Sometimes you just need a simple card to slap into a swap package...these are not time-consuming to put together after you color them (cheap therapy, in my book! lol)...so, no loss if they get tossed out, either...can't keep EVERY card from a swap or else...too many cards!!!

AIMR, keep on sharing what you do with the completed coloring book pages!  PLEASE!  I have been gifted THREE of these books, and although I thought I'd enjoy coloring in them, I really don't.   Cry  Then DD brought home a page of one for me to color.  Of course I had to!  Wink  But I need to have a purpose for them.  You had already shared that you used the more abstract ones as notecards.  But I love this idea for ones that are themed.

Keep the ideas coming!   Grin

I keep cards that don't have writing on the inside of the cover of the card, and use them to write little notes on to people.  That might be an idea for what to do for the people who receive your cards.  Or, they could cut out the little kitty to use in another project.

Yes, LBABB--I do cut up the pages that I don't really want to frame or hang up...

I scan my cards from swaps...when I get old, I want to read them... Grin.

I use a lot of cards to make more cards or for my collage work...and a lot of cards are on my studio walls...

I agree, great idea!  They are really cute.  I love your idea of scanning the cards, too.  I think I'll work on that sometime.  I have all of my swap cards, and I always feel bad tossing cards from family and friends, so those are taking up space somewhere, too.  Cheesy
