STEP 2:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER
Please send to rockingbearranch with May ATC Swap--Join" as the subject.

*Name of Swap:  Ongoing ATC Swap - May 2016
*Craftster username:
*Email address:
*Your real name:
*Mailing address including the country (written as it would appear on the envelope):
*Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?:
*Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approval(YES/NO):
*Are you a Friend of Craftster?:
*What is the exact size of an ATC?:
*Do you have access to a camera or scanner so you can post pictures here of what you receive? (if not, you need to tell anyone who claims you, so that they are able to take pictures before sending):
*Are you aware that if an ATC is lost in the mail, you are required to resend?:
*Have you read the entire swap information for this swap?:
*When sending sent/receive notifications to the swap organizer, there are four juicy pieces of information that must be included about each ATC.  What are they?  (Scroll down in the swap info under this questionnaire to the area "Once you have sent or received a card"; the answer is in red.):

CLAIMING
Claims are made throughout the month.  You have two weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim. Look at the date on the calendar, it is the date that is directly 2 rows down.

You can make as many claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. An outstanding claim is a card that has not been received; when that card is received your number of outstanding claims goes down.

Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...
This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer makes the final claim and closes out the claiming part of the swap.

The number of claims each person is allowed depends on the following criteria:

*Friends of Craftster: 10 claims
*Those who aren't Friends of Craftster: 7 claims
*First time swappers (whether Friends of Craftster or not): 1 claim.  Once the initial claim has been sent, and its new owner has reported it received, the first time swapper is free to make more claims, either 7 or 10 dependent on being an FOC or not.

How to make a claim - A claim post should include the following information:

*The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
*Statistical info about your current swap claims status:
--Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
--Sent = anything currently in the mail.
--Received = the cards received by the people you've sent them to.
*Your location.
*Your personal preferences.
*Your list of themes

STEP 3:
After being approved, make a claim like this! You are only claiming the person who was the last to post, for one card. You are allowed to send whatever extras you desire.

SAMPLE CLAIMS POST
Quote
I claim GenericFabulosaSwapper for heffalumps/weasels ATC.

3 claims, 2 sent, 1 received

I live in Massachusetts, USA.  I would prefer not to receive anything violent, political, or religious.

My themes are:
1)   Giving Thanks
2)   Leaves w/ Faces
3)   Naughty Spoons
4)   Inspiring Quotes
5)   Your Favorite Medium

STEP 4:
Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address.

STEP 5:
Make the card and mail it. PM the organizer and partner when you send or receive a card.

Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3)who sent it to (4)whom, in each message to the ATC swap organizer, when you're referring to sent or received ATCs.  That's four juicy pieces of important information that make my life as a swap organizer OH so easy!

SAMPLE SENT OR RECIEVED PM
Quote
Subject: May ATC Swap--Sent

I sent some ATCs today!

DUE DEC 16:
MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> YowzaSwapper (fantasmic theme)

DUE DEC 17:
MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> WowwieSwapsper (stupendous theme)
MeCraftsterMemberBloop -->WooHooYeeHawSwapper 07 (yet another fascinating theme)

STEP 6:
POSTING PIX OF ATCs RECEIVED
It is OH so important to post pictures of the amazing cards you receive!  This is the best way in the world to let it be known how special it is that you've received a wonderful treasure of someone else's creativity!   Posting pictures of received ATCs is required for this swap.

The Gallery is here!

FEEDBACK
Positive feedback will be given when all of the cards you sent have been received and you have posted pictures of the cards you received. If you are stuck without a space for a swap and are biting your nails waiting, just let me know and I will release you asap.

ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizer, rockingbearranch.  This thread is specifically for claims only.

I'm claiming blupaisan for Classical Music. I've got some plans already! I just hope it turns out okay.

I live in Michigan! I don't really have any strict preferences in terms of what I do or don't want to receive. I trust just about everyone on Craftster to have a pretty good idea of whether something is appropriate to send someone. Blood, gore, and nudity don't bother me at all, unless they're all combined into one card: not into the implications of a gory nudity card. Sad The only thing I wouldn't really appreciate would be, like, a Bible verse scrawled in Sharpie on a blank white card or something: if you've put any effort at all into the card, I know I'm going to love it.

My themes:
Superheroes (especially Hawkeye [Barton or Bishop or both!], Supergirl, Deadpool [does he count as a hero??], Ms. Marvel)
Loki (the Marvel villain or the Norse god)
Moveable/Foldable/3D in some way (even if that's a piece of origami glued to the card)
Rodents/Gerbils
Owls
Octopuses/Octopi/Octopode
Illustrate a fairy tale
Supernatural creatures
Untranslatable words (illustrate one or just write up the definition all fancy-like)
Van Gogh
Outer Space
Magic (your interpretation is more than welcome!)
Powerful Women (I think I'd like to eventually display them all in some kind of art piece in my classroom)
Reading/Literature
Pagan Wheel of the Year (I'd love to collect cards for all eight celebrations; I have an Imbolc already)
Self-Portrait
An ATC that illustrates/shows/describes your day
A theme from your list
Artist's Choice! I'm really not picky and just love finding beautiful little pieces of art in my mailbox.

Looking for poly-clay earrings: one bacon, one fried egg. Also, a mishmash of red/orange/gold bracelets--beaded, braided, bangles, whatever! If you have the supplies, let's talk! (Please?) I'll swap all kinds of things in return!
