How about a challenge where you take an old doll and alter it. You could make her cute or scary or weird. Just provide before and after photos of your doll to show what you did to her. Smiley

I agree that this is a pretty cool idea for a contest.

Alternatively, maybe it could be broadened to just making a doll in general, as many Craftster members like to make/sew dolls completely from scratch.
