No - the bracelet was not 3D printed! A friend and I designed the mold for the bracelet links and THAT was 3D printed!! Smiley

For the trial run using the mold, I didn't do anything fancy. For future bracelets, I will want to try to accurately calculate how much fiber per use of the mold is ideal. This time I just guessed so there's variation in thickness and density.

That's a lovely bracelet!
Love that you actually made the mold for the individual parts.

Simple, but cool design.  I think it's neat that you combined the modern 3D printing fabrication process with the more traditional art form.  I don't know jack about needle felting, so, does that rub/wear off fairly easily with friction if you were to wear it like this in jewelry form?  Just curious, 'cuz I know flocking can come off pretty easily.

Thanks!!  Cheesy Cheesy

The links are completely made of fiber which has been needle felted together really well so it won't rub off. It might get a big fuzzier with wear.

I had another mold created at the same time. I'm working on getting a sample of that finished. Yesterday was shopping day so I just did a shorter resist wet felting experiment before we did our errands. After I feed the cats, I can get back to work! =^..^=
