I'm still enjoying making painted garden stakes from recycled wooden spindles & poles. A stair handrail that is flat on one side & was originally used as a drapery rod made 3 different stakes.  One was a flag pole that hung from a wall bracket.  The others are used wooden spindles.

I added wooden finials or solar lights to the top & either metal spikes or copper tubing to the bottom.

My grandson deserves credit for painting the one with green zigzags.

All have 3 protective layers of polyurethane.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Thanks, for the lovely comments but I don't actually have a flower garden.  I have to confess that I'm an indoor person & would much rather paint garden art than tend flowers.  I sell or give most of it away so only one of my garden stakes, my Grandson's & Prism my rainbow egret are displayed at my Florida home.  It's pretty much the same with all of the items I make.  The pleasure is in the creating so I keep very little of it.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
