My sister requested some painted sugar skull shoes for her birthday.  I found a cute pair of Vans, though they had a colored stripe pattern all over them.  I wasn't sure if I was going to manage painting over the stripes, but it worked in the end!  I used the soft Tulip fabric paint and brushes to do these shoes.  I painted over just the fronts and left the stripes on the sides.

And here is what they looked like before I painted them.

Thanks for looking!

You have such a great eye for design. Love the colors. They go great with the wavy striped backs. I am floored by how neatly you always do them. You take the paint right to the edges and never slip up. You have a very steady hand.

Excellent!  They coordinate so nicely with the stripes!  I'm a bit jealous of your sister!  Hey, I don't have any sisters, maybe you'd like to adopt one more...?   Cheesy

If you are a size 6.5 then you can come fight her for them. Wink

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! Wish I had more time for shoe painting. Between a toddler and a couple months away from baby #2, time is in short supply.
