Hey,
after some weeks of planning, some weeks of sewing and on the cost of some (many..) nerves, I finished my first matching bag set. It consists of a travelling bag, laptop bag, washbag, make-up bag and a purse.

When I saw the design of the fabric at first, I really wasnt sure if I found it quite terrible ore quite cool Cheesy I decided for quite cool and bought about 4-5m of it and the lining. I still have some of it left, so maybe I will sew a wallet, too. But right now, I am happy that I completed this project so far Smiley

The travelling bag and laptop bag have two handles and an adjustable strap. I added some inserted bags to the lining too. With the washbag, I used a piece of shower curtain for the lining since its water proof
If you want to resew it, you can find the pattern here:

I think the fabric is fabulous!  It also looks quite sturdy for travel!

I love how it is matching, but that the way you used the prints makes each piece unique!

You will be traveling in style!

Well done!

I think the fabric is fun! You need to look closely to see the dogs.

Am I correct that you sewed in piping?
I agree with AIMR that it is lovely how they are part of a set but also very different. Great work!   Smiley

You were patient too, if it takes that long to finish, I usually quit hahaha  Grin

Fantastic job! I'm always afraid to tackle these sorts of sewing jobs, especially with so many pieces. And I love the crazy fabric in a weird sort of way. It seems like one of those things that makes you want to buy it even if dogs aren't your thing.

Thanks a lot to all of you (: its the first time I uploaded a sewing project on craftster and you are so nice (:

yes. I bought piping cord and satin binding, covered the cord in the binding and sewed it in Smiley

Yes, I am usually a cat lover Wink but I loved the weird sweet look of the dogs Cheesy

Craftster is all about sharing and helping eachother  Smiley

I love the piping, it makes a bag look so fancy and sewing in isn't that hard. Not that I use piping that much  Cheesy

Keep up the good work and keep sharing!
