Hola amigos!
I used needle felting and wet felting to make this taco mouse coin purse.
The felting took I used has 5 needles. It's incredibly awesome!
I think that wet felting helps to achieve a smoother and more finished product, and I like to use it for coin purses.  I basically used needle felting to create the piece.  Then I wet felted the pieces so smooth out the fibers a bit.  Then I added a coin purse frame and other details.

Supplies:
Coin purse frame & paper rope that typically comes with the frame. Mine is 4 inches (length) x 2 inches (height)
Glue
Awl

If using a 4x2 inch frame;
17 grams of yellow/orange wool
2 grams red wool
5 grams green wool
less than 0.5 grams pink wool

felting mat
felting tool (by Clover; comes with 5 needles)
black embroidery floss
sewing needle
2 black safety eyes or eyepins
wire cutters
2 large pink rhinestones

Approximate Time Required:
taco shells: 20 minutes with felting tool (longer with a single needle or felting pen)
lettuce & tomatoes: 7 minutes with felting tool
attaching parts: 5 minutes with felting tool
wet felting: 15 minutes
drying time 45 mins with dryer or overnight
attaching face 10 minutes
attaching frame 15-20 minutes + drying time.

I made a video about the process here: https://youtu.be/rby4Ym0ivS8

Very cute. I would love to see more pictures showing the clasp and such.

Adorable, and a taco just happens to be the right shape for a purse to boot--well done!

I love this, but I could never have one. I'd have to get a real taco every time I saw it. Darn Mexican food addiction...

I carry a bag that says FREE KNITTING LESSONS on my daily transit commute, & give a little hands-on tutorial to anyone who asks. They get a starter kit with needles, enough cotton yarn to make a plain dishcloth and a set of instructions. Swaps/donations for materials welcome!
