Ongoing Wish Swap Round 124 March 2016

Click here for the Gallery/Discussion for rounds 122, 123 & 124

Craftster member who is organizing this swap: rscowtown
Sign-up date range: 3/01/2016---3/31/2016
Claim date range 3/01/2016---3/31/2016 (some claims made near the end of the month will have a ship by date in the following month)
Date to send item by: 2 weeks after the date of the claim

Limited to a certain number of people? No

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:

This is an ongoing swap: Claim an item from the list of the last person who posted and post your own list in response. It makes a chain. When we get to the end of the month, the very last person to post a list will be the first person to post a list at the beginning of the next month.

The size of the package should be a medium item. This means 2 or more crafting hours ( this is not cooking time, drying time, etc.. waiting around for something to set up.......it is craft time for the average crafter) or supplies worth at least $20.

ABOUT SENDING AND RECEIVING...
1) When you send to the person you have claimed, you MUST PM the organizer with the delivery confirmation # or if you are outside the US, you need to either PM the customs number on your receipt from the post office or upload a copy of your post office receipt.

2) When you receive a claim, you MUST PM the organizer so she can update the main list.

3) NEW!!!! We are asking that everyone post once a week in the discussion/gallery board--so that we know you're still here with us Smiley  Obviously, if you join mid month, you would only need to post for the weeks you are in the swap (the last 2 weeks cuz you weren't in the swap during the first 2 weeks).

If you post:  "I'm still here but swamped with work!" that's ok! If you want to post a big rambling note about what you did during the week, that's ok too. Don't forget to comment on the lovely items folks are receiving from their claims!

Did you make something that you'd just love to make again? Post it in the discussion and suggest that mebby someone add it to their wish list so you mebby could claim them! I have lots of paint and brushes left over from when I taught One Stroke Painting classes (am a certified One Stroke Painting Instructor). Some of those brushes and paints are begging for a new home cuz they don't like sitting in my storage rooms down in the store. Hint hint! Want some brushes or acrylic paints? now you can add that to your wish list.

Go ahead, check out your excess or duplicate things, mention them in this swap's discussion board and perhaps they too will soon be winging their way to a new home where they will be used!

Let's keep the discussions going and maybe growing--ideas for some games we can do in the discussion/gallery board? I would be more than happy to supply some prizes!

These 2 required PM's are part of communication and are used when giving feedback for participating in this swap.

If you want to participate, information to send to the organizer: rscowtown
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 124 {March 2016}
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address including the country:
1. Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? (If not, please read carefully to be sure you do not claim someone outside your country)
2. Confirm that are at least 16 years old: (YES/NO)
3. Do you understand that you are claiming for at least a medium sized item? For this swap a medium sized item means 2 or more crafting hours or over $20 worth of supplies.
4. Are you a Friend of Craftster?
5. How many claims are you allowed? (New swappers--this would be your very first swap ever--1 claim; those who have been in swaps before--2 claims; Friends of Craftster--3 claims) Please type 1, 2 or 3--->
6. Do you agree that you will PM the organizer when you send and when you receive, and if sending, PM the delivery confirmation # or a pic of the receipt if you are outside the US?
7. Do you understand that you should post at once a week in the discussion thread?
8. What is your favorite thing about Spring?
Any questions?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO THE ORGANIZER (rscowtown) VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Do not post in this thread until you are ready to make a claim. All discussion needs to be kept in the discussion/gallery thread. Please post at least once in the discussion thread.

When you PM the organizer for sending and receiving please include the name of the swap (including the round) and the due date of the claim.
I.E.  Sally ----> Suzy for a pink pony saddle due out Jan 1

Please pay close attention to your partners wish list and allergies, likes, dislikes etc. Make sure your own allergy information and your country are prominently displayed in your post.

Do not claim someone while waiting for approval. You may claim as soon as you get approval confirmation.

Have your list including both 15 medium crafted items AND 15 supply items ready before making your first claim (the more you have, the better your chance of getting claimed quickly).

Please include your claims status: How many claims you have made in total, how many are in transit and how many have been received by their intended recipients. i.e/ 4 claims/1 in transit/2 received.

Unsent Claim Limit:
Friend of Craftster: Three
First-Time Swapper: One
Everyone Else: Two

You may claim again once you have shipped a claim but you can not have more than twice your Unsent Claim Limit outstanding at any one time.

If you are a friend of craftster you can have 3 unsent claims open at a time and no more than 6 total claims open (open meaning in transit as well as not yet sent) no matter how many have been posted. As an example, You claim 3 times, send all 3 packages, then claim 3 more times. Even when you send any or even all of those 3 claims, you can not claim again until a claim has been received. So a person can be 6 claims/3 in transit/0 received. Or 6/6/0 or 8/5/2 or 7/5/1.

If you are not a friend of craftster, you can have at most 2 claims unsent and 4 claims total between unsent and in transit. So 4/2/0 is okay or 5/3/1 or 6/4/2

If this is your first swap, You can have at most one claim in transit and one claim unsent. 2/1/0, 2/2/0, 3/1/1

Please keep in mind that DC#'s are required for all US to US packages and receipts are required for all international packages. If you can not provide a receipt and the package does not arrive you will need to resend the package.

If you have questions, please PM me! Welcome to March 2016 Round 124 of the OWS!

ok folks, kittykill was the last person to claim in round 123, so she is first up in this new round...

Here is kittykill's info:

Hi everyone! I'm Pam and I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband who owns a vintage collectible toy store and my three dogs Pete, Iggy and Jujube (we lost Lola over the summer). Right now I am loving the cottage/cabin/winter thing but I also love the rodeo and the beach. Each season I change the decor in our house.

I love the color pink, red, turquoise and beach colors although right now I'm obsessed with gingham and polka dots. My favorite time period is from 1890-1950's with the 20's and 30's being my absolute fav. I love Busby Berkeley and Thin Man movies as well as bad 1950's horror movies.

I am not a fan of bright neon colors or anything super "hippy-ish"

Lately I can't seem to handle cigarette smoke so please, nothing from a household like that and my husband is slightly allergic to cats but shouldn't be a problem.

Anything on my pinterest is up for grabs.

I claim Kittykill for something to do with a crow.

Hey there! I'm Maddy, and I live in Florida, USA. I live with my family, and my 6 beautiful birds. My birdies are a big part of my life, and I love to have things that look like them and involve them. I also have a sweet grey kitty. I like to paint, write, and try whatever crafts I find interesting. My favorite colors are grey, blue, green, lavender, pastel yellow, and peach. I tend to prefer pastel shades of color. I dislike taxi cab yellow, bright orange, and pink.

I have NO allergies, but can not have anything scented because it could harm my birds.

I claim Allons-y for something....still plotting Smiley

Hi I'm Laurel from Wisconsin. Married to Mark for 32 years, mom to a boy 23 and girl 28 and grandma to a 6 year old. We have 3 rescued dachshunds, I love the old ugly ones that no one wants.

** Please pm me if you find something on my pin boards that isn't listed below, sometimes I pin stuff for ideas but may have already made the item and forgotten to mark it or just pinned it for a random idea.

Please do NOT send items with roses or clowns on them (aka stuff i don't like) thanks!

WISHLIST STUFF:

** Added NEW stuff to these boards**
Here is my swap/claim wish list Pinterest board:

https://www.pinterest.com/rscowtown/ongoing-wish-pinterest-swap-board/

I claim rscowtown for postcards to be sent on (due out March 22)

This is my first claim this round: none pending, none in transit, none received.

Hi, my name is Anne. I live in Bremen (in Germany!) with my husband Uwe and little ones: Lea (4) and Hanna (2). I don't like cigarette/cigar smoke, but have no allergies to speak of (some artificial scents mostly, cats and dogs, but that doesn't matter for anything but wearables, and those are washable!). Our house is smoke- and pet-free (except for a few dust bunnies and maybe the odd spider).

My favourite colours are black (esp. for wearables), dark teal, deep purple, dark brown, cream & taupe (sand, milk, stone, wool... think nature), and pink. So: darker intensive or lighter bland colours. I use those colours for the kids as well (but they also get bright ones, like light green). I like plain fabrics, or (stylized) patterns like leaves and blossoms; polka dot... We have decorated our apartment mostly in light colours (white, cream, wood) so colourful stuff is always welcome. Repurposed and/or used is always fine. I usually prefer cotton or other natural fibers over acrylics. Also I'm happy to receive mixed or supply only-claims!

I've set up a board on Pinterest for this swap, links to (almost) all handmade items (or at least pictures) from my list should be here: http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/craftster-ongoing-wish-list/. Big wishes right now are here, but I have lots of things I want on other Pinterest boards, so if you find something there... Especially here http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/jewelry-id-love-to-receive/ or here http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/t-shirts-i-want-to-make/ I love the four shirts I've received so far and am wearing them constantly. But I still want more!

Please keep in mind that I love miniatures! So if there is something you want to make, but shipping costs are too high, maybe it would also work out on a small to tiny scale? Especially if it's supposed to go on the wall.

Embellished / Decorated Shirts *big wish!*
I love the ones I've received so far and am wearing them constantly!
I prefer a round, wide neckline, so a scoop neck or boatneck would be best (don't like anything too close to the throat). A deep and wide V-neck would be okay, too. And I love 3/4 sleeves (or long), but tees or tanks are always fine, too. Love both cotton with a bit of stretch as well as cotton only; also very thin fabrics. Women's plus size 24/26 or 3x. As for colour, black/white/grey is completely fine, as are any of my favourites.
If possible, I prefer stencilled/drawn/painted/appliqued/embroidered etc. over the printable iron-ons, because these tend to get destroyed in our washing machine, even in the wool cycle. I've received some awesome vinyl iron-ons, they work great!
Themes: Anything you think might work for me, or see here for ideas: http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/t-shirts-i-want-to-make/
Some ideas:
O XKCD t-shirts (baby, natural parenting, grownups, counter-clockwise)
O Rickroll shirt for me - something like this, or completely different... http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494328944/ Or can just be Rick Astley, without rolling...
O Again anything Labyrinth for me... Jareth, or a quotation, or... preferably in black and white (or a teeny bit glittery?)
O Calvin & Hobbes (I love: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495095892/)

Sewn
O "Things to take"-thingy like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495755580/. Three pockets or even just one wider pocket with a hook would be ideal for wallet, phone & keys. Can have just small grommets or loops, as they will go onto a wall instead of a doorknob
O Ironing board cover for small folding table http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495381080/ (I have one exactly like that) or
O Iron tote (folds out to ironing mat)
O Quiet Book pages to go into a A5 two-hole-folder (15x20cm, 6x8"). Anything is welcome, but I have some pages already. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279497260440/ I'll gladly do the punching & put grommets in! Of course I realize that even one single page can be much more than a medium.
O If anyone has a nice dark teal/brown jersey (solid or patterned) and maybe a serger, I'd love a very simple, plain tunic. It would have to be pretty large, though, XXL or XXXL.
O Something like the Bloom dress for a woven? Without the slit, though.) https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279498638544/ (free pattern from sewtinagivens.com)
O Binding or bias tape: patterned or solid, scrappy or single colour, from a fat quarter or a long strip from a sheet...
O Some type of bike basket/bag to be attached to the handle to carry a medium/smallish purse (I#ll be using the bike to get to worksoon, hopefully) looking for examples now!

Knit or crochet
O Yoga socks/ boot cuffs / leg warmers to warm my ankles (I want to keep on wearing dresses and skirts this fall and winter), some examples I like right here: https://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/craftster-ongoing-wish-list/ (I received a very pretty pair in purple; maybe some cream coloured ones?)
O Knit berry baby hat http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/berry-baby-hat for heads 50cm/20" in a similar soft purple or strawberry red (if you add pips in the strawberry so it won't look like a tomato: yellow please!) or raspberry pink or blueberry indigo... I'd love two because the girls keep fighting for the now too small one we received two years ago...
O Spiral heel socks http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279493860489/
O Any socks really, cable, plain, or self-striping, knit or or crochet...
O Owl hat Knit: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494719195//owl-hat-4  50cm/20" or (or big wish: 60/65cm for me!) in that classic light mottled grey grey or a nice cool brown shade! Crochet pattern also available! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495143479/
O Big wish: A big, beautiful purple Beanie like this one made by lydiaharper for mermaidcafe but I need it for myself, so for a 60cm head! https://de.pinterest.com/pin/171981279498941677/ It doesn't have to be that pattern, or really any pattern at all, it just has to be long and wide enough so it doesn't keep slipping upwards on my hair. A deep teal or black would be lovely, too.

Jewelry
O Flat dark stone pendant with 4 crystals (or glittery glass) like this (two smaller, two larger) https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494784538/
O Glow-in-the-dark tree of life pendant pretty much like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279496850831/
O Han and Leia rings - one saying "i love you" and the other "i know"
O Mini hooplas or tiny art, as in inchies or rinchies (maybe even as large as twinchies?) in your favourite medium. Maybe somthing from here as an inspiration? http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/artwork-hoopla-inchie-inspiration/, I bet those would make great pendants! I don't wear brooches, but I have lots of supplies to make me a necklace for your piece of art!
O Anything Labyrinth or Calvin & Hobbes for me... painted, sketched, etched, crochet, knit, Fimo, sewn, beaded, woven, whittled, embroidered, whatever!

Other
O Smallish Fauxdori or similar notebook (cover), or a spiralbound one would be great! Either for me, or something my little ones can use as organizers, because they each really, really want one. Especially the 4yo because she's a big girl now and needs one, like mommy. Around 4x6" maybe?
O Something small printed/stamped/embroidered with dandelions on it: A tea wallet, a notebook, a little zippered coin purse or tampon wallet, a headphone keeper, pendant, anything! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279497094302/
O Covered tape measure: sheep, zebra, penguin, kitten, or something completely different! Even a plain one in a cute/ptretty/cool fabric without any critters. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495378003/
O Lanterns for tea lights or candles made from cans with holes hammered into them, example: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279496269433/ - pretty or funny.
O Han and Leia Mugs - please include "i love you" and "i know" (bottom inside would be my favourite!) https://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494131098/
O mini stamps for "filofaxing" - appointments, birthdays, dates, movies, etc. - also work well for greeting cards (a candle, a cake or cupcake...)!  (various on my OWS board)
O larger stamps - a simple leaf design, or swirls, also maybe flowers in parts, or something like one of those castle stamp sets. meant to go on t-shirts
O Leather planner/organizer cover like this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495377730/ in A6 so I can put a regular notebook and a calendar in it (or like the smaller Moleskine flex). I love plain oiled leather in (dark) brown.
O Screen printing kit (I would so love to try this!)
O Pillowcases: 40cm/16 inch square, some examples here: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495381076/  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495381077/  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279495381087/ or here http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/artwork-hoopla-inchie-inspiration/
O Mini hooplas/wall art for my room in the doll house (because there is no space for a real hoopla wall and I love tiny things!). So inchies or rinchies in your favourite medium. Maybe somthing from here as an inspiration? http://www.pinterest.com/annawahnsinn/artwork-hoopla-inchie-inspiration/
O Stand-up thingy for tablet (to look at sewing instructions while sewing...) (the bookish kind?) http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494649573/
O Yarn bowl - this pottery one http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279494249555/ is my absolute favourite (the colour, the little stars!), but I'd love one made from a wooden bowl too. Or even from a large plastic cup, as long as it's fun to look at and doesn't topple over or hop around the room while I'm working. (If it's large enough, I can always put a stone in as a weight! Right now I'm using a smallish sugar pot.)
O Anything Labyrinth for me... crochet, knit, Fimo, sewn, embroidered, whatever, useful or just pretty...
O Calvin & Hobbes - again anything "pretty" and/or useful
O Something "Where the Wild Things Are" or "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"... loved by me and my daughters!

Supplies (scraps or used is fine, as are supply only claims!)
https://www.amazon.de/gp/registry/wishlist/17X2MDBFXY2SU/ref=cm_wl_list_o_3?
O Frixion pens: highlighters and especially those tiny stamps!
O Chunky Yarn in my colours, or kiddie colours, natural fibers preferred ("we" are starting loom knitting)
O Always: fabric! (esp. solid black!, teals; purples, or smaller patterns, esp. polka dots)
O Always: Sewing thread! All the colours.
O Embroidery hoops! All sizes, especially 4-8" - but if you have a smaller or larger one, those are very welcome, too!
O Fabric paint (plain, or can also be glittery, metallic or pearlescent) - I love the kind that doesn't have to be ironed to fix the paint. Some just have to dry for a few days, other go into the oven.
O Fimo soft (all the colours!) and Fimo Effect and Fimo Kids
O Plain white silk scarves, shawls, foulards, handkerchieves etc. for me to paint
O Binding or bias tape (bought or handmade, plain or patterned)
O Metal stamping blanks & stamps (stamps: especially plain hearts, stars, a dandelion set)
O Fabric or anything really (used is great: bedsheet, pillowcase, totebag, scraps, yardage...) from these: original care bears, forever friends (the teddy bears!), classic pooh (the e. h. shepard drawings), very hungry caterpillar, barbapapa, moomins, gruffalo and a new addition here: Peppa Pig for the 2yo.
O gift card/voucher/coupon for Sayila.nl, Beadworks (UK), Beadaholique (UK) and Etsy

If you want to claim me for something that is not on my lists, don't worry and just go ahead! Chances are I'll realize how desperately I want & need it anyway as soon as you claim me for it! So: Thank you for claiming me!

I claim artsycandice for bird art.  Smiley (yaaaaaay for a fellow bird lover!)

Supplies
Pretty fat quarters (I like organic shapes and designs, swirls, ornate scroll work, stripes, nature-themes, birds, etc.)
Little interesting buttons and trinkets for adding to fabric art
ceramic beads and buttons
wooden beads and buttons
embroidery floss (all colors)
hand sewing needles
beautiful embellishments
Bits of lovely yarn/lace/fabric
air dry paper clay
I love vintage books (from the seventies) about fiber arts (not sewing, but really fiber/fabric sculpture arts)
