Sorry about that Starpist! I was a little over zealous with the glue. I can email them to you if you like.

FINALLY I got my cd from Karmapolice!  Stupid Canada Post...

Anyway, totally love the mix - especially Birthday (mine's coming up on the 31st!  Shameless birthday plug!).  And birthdays totally are holidays.  I have 2 friends who also have summer birthdays, and we always have a big night out that turns into a holiday-like celebration.

Track list:
Harvest Breed (Nick Drake)
Good Fortune (PJ Harvey)
Green Eyes (Coldplay)
L'amour ne dure pas toujours (Feist)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) (I, too, love to scream the lyrics to this song, especially with the windows down and my friends backing me up)
Birthday (The Beatles)
Blackout (British Sea Power)
Striptease (Hawksley Workman)
Let It Die (Feist)
X-Ray Style (Joe Strummer)
All We Have Is Now (The Flaming Lips)
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (The Beatles)
The Fence (Karmapolice!)
Calendar Girl (Stars)
Love and Some Verses (Iron and Wine)
Kamikaze (PJ Harvey)
NYC (Interpol)
All Is Full of Love (Bjork)
Bijoux (Manitoba)
Anthems for a Seventeen-Year Old Girl (Broken Social Scene)

(edited 8/26 to add pic of cd cover)

If you are not vigilant and demanding of your talent everyday, you will slowly become what you hate.

sorry for the late post, my digital camera went on a trip to hawaii with my roommate (not me, sigh). so here's what i sent vanishing_star:

cd, packaging, magnet, post-its, crafty business cards, and distro ads.

cd playlist was in narrative form:

In the order of softest to loudest music, here are my answers to 20 random questions.
When I get married, I hope that Drowning In Those Eyes by Ane Brun will be played.
On rainy days I like to listen to Embrace Me by Karen Jo Fields.
My favorite color is best described with Pink Moon by Nick Drake.
At my funeral I hope someone plays God Only Knows by Claudine Longet.
My favorite movie genre can best be described by Before You Cry by Camera Obscura.
I made out in the back of a limo in 8th grade to Policy of Truth by Depche Mode with my first real boyfriend.
The best song ever is Babylon by David Gray mostly because it reminds me of happy times in college.
The song that makes me feel sexy is Your Body Is A Wonderland by John Mayer.
I think Id Rather Dance Than Talk To You by Kings of Convenience mostly describes my style, not because Im a dancer, but sometimes I feel like doing anything else than talking to new people.
My absolute favorite holiday song is Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, I look forward to this playing on the radio each year.
My dream career is to be an urban explorer (which I know doesnt really exist as a career but it said dream career) so my soundtrack would have to include Hot Child In The City by Nick Glider.
Some less than wise choices lately means I Will Survive by Cake describes my romance life.
I wouldnt want to live in any other time period than now, so Right Here, Right Now by Jesus Jones sums up my opinion on time travel.
My dream guy would be the Trouble Ive Been Looking For? by The Magnetic Fields.
My entirety can be best summed up by Somewhere Only We Know by Keene.
Sometimes it feels like Everything Hits At Once by Spoon when Im depressed.
I really like rain so Im Only Happy When It Rains by Garbage for real.
When Im ready for a victory dance, I crank up Emerald City by United State of Electronica and dance about.
If I were in a band, Id hope to drum even half as good as the beats in Send Me You by The Butchies. If you get a chance, check out the video for this song and youll see what I mean.
My favorite song to annoy others and myself is Fight for your right by the Beastie Boys.

and vanishing_star sent me this lovely package:

her musical selections came with a little booklet that included short explinations of her choices. btw, i love her musical tastes!

october nights - yellowcard
make out kids - motion city soundtrack
bowl of oranges - bright eyes

indie sux, hardline sux, emo sux, you sux! - anit-flag

FINALLY the USPS decided to stop fooling around and actually deliver my package (can you tell I'm a bit impatient...but still, it doesn't take 26 days to get from Oregon to Florida, now does it?).  So anyway, yeah! I got my CD from mrs.benjimadden and it's great! Here's the song list:

1. Rain by Seether
2. Me, Myself and I by Beyonce
3. Blood Red White and Blue by Rise Against
4. Three Easy Payments by Mitch Hedberg (I think this track is my favorite, and it's not even a song!)
5. Holla Back Girl by Gwen Stefani
6. The Chanukah Song, Part III by Adam Sandler
7. Soldier by Destiny's Child
8. Dirrty by Christina Aguilera
9. Flavor of the Week by American Hi-Fi
10. My Girl by The Temptations
11. 1985 by Bowling for Soup
12. Party Like a Rock Star by JT Experience
13. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
14. Rain When I Die by Alice in Chains
15. Suburb Thuggin' by El Pus
16. Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions
17. Bother by Stone Sour
18. Freak Out by Avril Lavigne
19. Punk Rock 101
20. Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC

The CD and its case are still in my car, but I'll try to post pictures later.  Thanks so much! Grin

So.  Canada Post kindly decided to deliver BOTH CDs I sent jennye - one a week late and one right on time (for when I sent it, that is).  How incredibly frustrating.  And to top it off, they're raising their rates for sending CDs on September 24.  Oh, Canada.

But what makes it all OK is receiving such an awesome CD as the one I got from jennye:

I'm pretty sure the tracklist is visible from that pic, but if not I can always post again!

Thanks for being such a patient, awesome partner, jennye!

Glad you like the cd!  I've been listening to yours nonstop.  Oh yeah, and Kamikaze is my new favorite song!  I had forgotten how much I like PJ Harvey.

Yeah, she's pretty much a goddess.  I'm listening to her right now, as a matter of fact!

They're supposed to be raising their rates for letters and packages again in January. We got a notice at the office I work at. Booooooo....

Hey!  I got a CD from Gink, my swap angel today!  I love it!  It is in a very nice package with a card with French cartoons on it, in an envelope made of a cartoon in French.  The CD itself is also great.  My boyfriend and I have listened to it twice in a row.  It is a lot of artists I didn't really know, but am happy to know them now.  Thanks so much, gink!
