my friends and I have started having "Ladies Teas" as an excuse to get together, eat, and cackle.

The next one has a theme of "fruits and veggies," which inspired me to make some life-size felt veggies (yes, some are, technically, fruit) to wear.
I'm not sure how I'm going to wear them, probably on that white elastic headband mostly edited out of the picture.  Maybe not the eggplant, though.  Even I draw the line at wearing an eggplant on my head.

They came out great!  Did you use a pattern, or just wing it?

they're pretty simple shapes, so I just winged it.  Actually, the chili pepper was supposed to be a radish, but came out too skinny.  I made them over the course of a couple nights' TV watching.

Nicely done with no pattern!  I love crafting with the TV.

ooooh, bananas!  I've got a couple movies on the DVR, maybe tonight I'll make bananas and cherries!  I'm thinking of stringing them all (most, anyway, not the eggplant) into a lei instead of a hat.  Or maybe a wreath.

Ah! These are super cute! I keep meaning to make some felt food for my nephew to play with, but I just haven't gotten around to it. I love this!

Looking for poly-clay earrings: one bacon, one fried egg. Also, a mishmash of red/orange/gold bracelets--beaded, braided, bangles, whatever! If you have the supplies, let's talk! (Please?) I'll swap all kinds of things in return!

Excellent job!  I particularly like the peas, carrot (I dig those thread roots), and mushroom.  Did you do the peas as individual spheres, or is it a longer cylinder with the peas shapes tied/stitched off into units?

Thank you!
Each pea is a circle of felt, gathered around the edge and stuffed.
I'm pleased with the mushroom's gills, but next time, I'd make the dark top out of a larger circle, and gather it a little to the pale underside.  That would make it more mushroomy.
