I'm looking for some guidance to knit a baby size blanket with 2 or 3 colors in medium size squares. I don't want to knit squares then join together. I would like to use the carry on technique when adding the second color so that I bring the yarn along so that it is there when I'm ready to switch again. But I've tried and the yarn doesn't carry on alongside the first color unless I keep laying it under new color every time I knit the stitch. I'm doing this on circular kneedles .I did a seed stitch border and will do a stockinette stitch for inside blanket.
Thanks !
