We bought this varnished pine set of drawers yesterday to add some storage to my craft room. I loved the size of it, and the handles were already perfect! Lots of sanding and a little paint later and I have somewhere fun to store craft supplies. The 'guest' sign is just propped there for now.

I just need to add a coat of antique wax when that arrives next week and it's ready to fill! Grin

Updated - waxed with a dark wax to age and shine! Smiley

Here's how it looked before...but after I tested the first drawer for paint...

Thanks! I've just rubbed on a dark wax, so I'm even happier with it now! I'll have to snap another photo tomorrow.

Phew! Lots of waxing, but it's so shiny and interesting now the darker areas are picked out more, and the colours are more harmonious now they have all had the same treatment over.

Love the transformation!  Looks like a lot of storage as well...the wax really did give a nice aged effect.  Thanks for sharing your technique...I bet you use it again for other things! ha

This is just a wonderful piece!  I have some furniture to refinish, but it just takes so much work that I've been putting it off.  This makes me want to go for it again!
