This is the second t-shirt quilt I've made.  While it went slightly better than the first one (Used minky for the backing - *Shutters*) I still don't think I'd make another one, it was a pain.

This is for my oldest stepdaughter out of shirts from High School and college that had been put in the donate pile over the years and I kept snagging them out.  I interfaced each one, then cut to size and sewed to a square of batting.  I think assembled the top, added another thin layer of batting and then flannel for the back.  The sewing is definitely wonky as there were spots my machine did not want to sew through.  However it is done, it's cuddly and most importantly, isn't taking up space in my craft area anymore.

Yay for a finish! It looks great, I think tshirt quilts are one of those scary things I'm not sure I'll ever want to attempt! Good for you for getting it done! Smiley

Thank you Mare Mare, Mistress Jennie and Bunny1Kenobi!

The younger one has a pile going for another one, but honestly, it's probably going to get sent out to get done.  I have too many other fun quilting projects I want to get done to wrestle with another tshirt one

Such a nice gift, it will be treasured for ever.

It doesn't look wonky to me but handmade, warm, comforting and loving.

I think t-shirt quilts are very meaningful to people.  They seem very popular and requested.  I know they must be a pain to sew.  You did a lovely job...I love the variety of colors your child wore...it makes for a nice, comfy, colorful quilt!
