Hi, I'm newbie to selling crafts. I'm thinking about opening an Etsy store, but also thinking of doing a show or bazaar. All these posts have been really helpful. I'd be grateful for any advice...thank you!!!

Hi!  I just opened an etsy store in December - it's super easy, so I would recommend trying it!

Re the craft fairs, I am just starting to look into that - I need advice, too!

good luck.

Hi, I love doing craft shows and have been doing them for years. I've been writing on my blog about how to get started, hoping you find something useful here:

I spent more than 10 years doing craft shows and selling handmade products (both my own and the work of other artists). I'm not actively doing craft shows anymore, but I do share a lot of tips for crafters and artists on my blog. These two posts have a lot of my advice:

Bmermaid's blog is pretty much spot on about beginning.
She and I are doing about the same level of shows that have both part timers as well as professional full timers doing them.

There's NOTHING at a craft show, or on Etsy, anybody NEEDS. NOTHING.
