This piece was part trade/part commission for a fellow crafter as a gift to her Mum.
The Iggy was based of one of the family pets and entirely hand sculpted and painted, This was a amazing piece to work on and such a beautiful creature to draw inspiration from!

Progress pictures
(I can't find the step by step photos but i'm sure i uploaded them else where, i'll add them to this thread if i find them)

Beautiful piece!  The face is super-friendly and having the lizard curled around a heart shape makes for a very nice display arrangement too.  What'd you use to make the skin texture on the limbs/body (it reminds me of a golfball's surface)?

While I like your art, I'm not too fond of real iguanas--my older brother used to have a couple as pets and his had rather nasty dispositions.  They hissed like cats when they were angry too, which was kind of scary.

As this is not my wheelhouse, I LOVE the progress shots.  I have tried a few and it's uncomfortable as I still don't seem to have the "eye" for it, so I admire your talent!

I love the shape and the texture.  I love the color pallet you chose.  All around, great job!
