As my part time job I do clothing repair to vintage clothing. I love being able to take something that is unwearable and return it to its former beauty.

This is one of the latest rescues done. It is a 1930's bias cut velvet gown. From improper storage the sleeve had ripped.

Most all the beading was still there and the gown was otherwise in excellent condition.

Returning pieces of clothing, that might be thrown away, to their former glory is great. You did an excellent job at that too, I can't see that it had ever been torn.

Beautiful gown!  Glad you were able to save it!  The repairs are nearly invisible...all that beading to contend with...nice job!
