So, my new obsession has become topsy turvy dolls and I haven't seen a swap for them yet and I wanted to gauge interest to see if anyone would be interested in participating...

From Wikipedia:
A Topsy-Turvy doll is a double-ended doll, typically featuring two opposing characters. They are traditionally American cloth folk dolls which fuse a white girl child with a black girl child at the hips. Precise facts about their origins are rare, but as late as the 1950s, "Topsy and Eva" dolls were marketed by Sears, Montgomery Ward, and The Babyland Rag company (aka Bruckner).

I have been having difficulty finding updated pictures of them and the ones I have found are of the traditional style dolls. Ideas I have thought of are Cinderella (one side is Ella and the other is Princess), Belle and the Beast, Elsa and Anna, Red Riding Hood and her grandma, Jack and Sally, Charlie Brown and Snoopy...the ideas are endless!!

I'm looking at maybe a late February sign up with a March send out date. Thoughts?

I think mine was Red Riding Hood and the wolf-dressed-as-grandma.
My grandmother made it with scraps - the grandma's nightgown was leftover fabric from the nightgowns she made for my sisters, my cousins and me.

I did see ones like that in my search for pictures...seems like that was a popular one!! I'm so glad there is interest! I am seriously obsessed with these and I have a list of like 10 I want to make and it's growing because I keep thinking about more I want lol

This is a fascinating swap idea, but I'm not sure I'm up to something this ambitious right now.  But just want to say, I think this is a really neat idea!

I actually have a copy of the pattern you have pictured, and have used it many times. I second Ludi though, I am not sure I am up for something of that level right now but will certainly stalk the swap when it happens. Good luck!
