I was heavily involved in donating completed bags to shelters for Project Night Night.  Then I found Craftster  Wink and stopped being involved with Project Night Night for several years.  I've now found a way to happily combine both!  Grin

Here is a photo of a complete Project Night Night bag; which contains a book, crib sized blanket (that I crocheted) and a stuffed bear:

(sorry for the sideways photo)

Project Night Night bags are considered "complete" with those three items.  However, I like to add extras when possible:

I try to always add a nightlight b/c I figure what can be scarier than being expected to sleep in the dark in a new environment for a young child?  I always add bookmarks b/c you can find them for free anywhere.  The other extras pictured are from what I found while cleaning out my girls' playroom.  I'll add them to the bags as a surprise.

This is such a great cause, the people who run it are wonderful, and it gives me such fulfillment to take part in such a great cause!

It's both kind and thoughtful of you to donate your time and items for homeless children, and I'm sure your bag of goodies will bring a big smile to both the young recipient and the parents!

Good job and good idea for the extras.  It is beautiful what you do.
