Harry Potter Small Flat Rate Box Swap

Swap name: Harry Potter Small Flat Rate Box Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Mistress Jennie
Sign-up date range: January 13-30th, 2016
Date to send item by: February 20th, 2016

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional):
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO
If so, which country?

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of this totally awesome swap:
Do any of these things apply to you?:
- You're swapping budget is a bit tight and you don't want to spend too much in shipping.
- You're looking for an simple first swap to get your feet wet.
- You love surprises.
- You love the challenge of seeing how much stuff you can get away with sticking into those Priority Mail Boxes.
-You love HP Swaps in all forms.

Then this swap is for you!

The challenge of this swap is to fill one of the Small Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes from the US Postal Service to the brim with Harry Potter goodies. How much can you send for $5.95? Whatever fits in the box! At least two items need to be crafted, the point value for the swap is 2 points*, and the entire box must be themed around the world of Harry Potter.  If you and your partner agree to craft more items, that is fine, but it must still fit within the Small Flat Rate Box.

*Reminder of point sizes:
Large - 3 points: 3 hours or more; $30 or more in supply value, shawl, shirt, project tote, apron, set of pillowcases, set of tea towels, large stuffie
Medium - 2 points: 2 hours but no more than 3 hours to complete, $15-$30 in supply value, necklace, belt, bracelet, scarf, deluxe pincushion
Small - 1 point: at least 1 hour but no more than 2 hours to complete, $5-$15 in supply value, fabric pouch, embellishments, earrings, beaded or stitched bookmark

But Mistress Jennie, what kinds of crafts can I fit in a box that small?
Lots of things!  Bookmarks, jewelry, note cards, ATCs, mug rugs or coasters, hand carved rubber stamps, pincushions, wallets or pouches, soaps or lip balm, mini hooplas, the list goes on and on!

Ok Mistress Jennie, what kinds of non-crafted items can I add to my box?
Craft supplies: Flat items like stickers and scrapbook papers, buttons, beads, embellishments, dollhouse style miniatures like potion bottles, pumpkins, brooms, etc, small rubber stamps and ink pads, fabric fat quarters in magical prints, mini hoops and embroidery thread, wood blanks or chipboard blanks
Treats: Candy of just about any sort that your partner likes. (Consider 'rebranding' regular candy, such as calling plain chocolate coins, Chocolate Galleons.) Individually wrapped tea bags or sample sized bags of coffee.
Misc:  Pens or sharpies (in their House colors?), blank notecards, fridge magnets, fun socks, notepads, or craft Kit (example: print out a mini cross stitch pattern from the web, and include the colors of embroidery floss, and a tiny hoop)

But Mistress Jennie, I dont live in the US and we dont have Small Flat Rate Boxes in my country!
No worries my international Friends!  You are still welcome to play with us.  You can use a box of similar size or volume to participate. The sizes of a small Flat Rate Box are listed below, along with conversion to centimeters and a volume for each.  (I don't expect you to find a box exactly 1366.2 cubic centimeters!  That's just what the math works out to.  Just find a box of pretty similar dimensions.  The US Flat Rate Boxes fit a VHS tape, with just a pinch of wiggle room.)

Exterior Dimensions: 8 11/16" x 5 7/16" x 1 3/4" OR 22cm x 13.8cm x 4.5cm = 1366.2 cubic centimeters
Interior Dimensions: 8 5/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 ⅝  OR 22cm x 13.7cm x 4.1cm = 1235.7 cubic centimeters

Please note that I will be attempting to partner US based swappers together, and international swappers together for this swap, in order to keep postage costs down.  (Part of the point of a Flat Rate Box Swap is for low postage costs.)  If you have questions about this, please send me a PM.

Please remember that communication is vital to a good swap experience! So please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing in the main thread! Per Craftster rules, you MUST post in the Swap Thread at least once, or risk being dropped from the swap.

Also note that this is a variation on the previous Harry Potter Box Swap, from 2014, and which had a different size box requirement.  There have been several other Small Flat Rate Box Swaps on Craftster in the past, including a Stuff a Small Flat Rate Box for the Winter Holidays Swap and a Stuff a Small Flat Rate Box for Halloween Swap.  Be sure to check out their galleries to get ideas about all the things that can fit into a Small Flat Rate Box!

Darn it. I was NOT going to be lured into another swap. Nope, not me. But ... this looks so cool. Powers of resistance are fading...
