knitting hats is fun and quick. Its a great way to use up small amounts of yarn. If you like you can join post a list update when you have time. post your pictures and the pattern if there is on, what kind of yarn are you using.

Thank you ladies, the pattern for the hathttp://positori.blogspot.com/2011/10/free-knit-pattern-autumn-pixie-hood.html?m=1
But I changed the brim, I cabled and picked up stitches. And started with part 4 of the pattern.

I hear that! Knitting without a plan can be so fun, but then it can be so frustrating sometimes. I like all the cabling you're doing.

Okay, here's what i have photographed.

Go Cougs for my brother's girlfriend.

Duke Silver, my latest Parks & Rec-themed hat. It even has saxophones around the back.

Improvised diamond design.

Packers Sideline Beanie.

My brother's friend recently took over a local children's theater, and she asked me to make them some hats. It's called Neverland Theater, and their logo is Peter Pan flying with a big crescent moon.

Originally wanted this for myself, but it's a little too small, and perfect for my nephew. It's the rebel alliance starbird from Star Wars, and i used duplicate stitch.

Tacoma used to have a soccer team, years ago, and they came back last year! It's pretty exciting. They're called the Tacoma Stars, and i'm really happy that they're sticking with the original colors and logo, and everything.

I'm still not confident enough in my pattern-writing abilities to publish this pattern, so instead i just keep knitting them myself. I think i've knit 3 so far this year, but i still need better photos.

My cousin just had a baby named Spencer.

Newest design. Still trying to name it. And write the pattern for other people. The first 2 are slouchy, the second 2 are snug beanies.

Bananaleg, your patterns are lovely. I especially like the last of the three with green and blue stripes.
This last one looks like an extreme close up of asparagus tips, very pretty.

I would gladly test your pattern for you for that cabled design!  Gorgeous colorwork as well..I just have not been a knitting mood...I guess because I got a bit depressed at how many hats I gave away to make room in my bedroom for other things, like socks and underwear...ha ha.

I am also bored with so many patterns...I need to find new ones that are challenging but not frustrating!

Thanks!

Got a few more photographed.

Birthday present for my nephew, who, before learning to speak, would only screech.

I've been playing a lot with crown shaping and cables.

I've had requests for University of Washington hats, and i finally got around to trying one out.

I have dreams of a whole art deco beanie line.

Your cabled hats are amazing!  Are they your own pattern?

Do you chart out the words on your hats?

Beautiful work!

I am amazed at how many hats you can make in such a short time...43 hats...just wow...looking at your individual post on page 1 is so inspiring...

This I say as I have knitted one hat so far this year... Grin

wow--more hats!!

What yarn do you use?  The colors are fabulous, bright, and there are so many choices!  Do you use worsted weight?

I'm pretty partial to that one, myself.

I know, I know. I just have too many ideas to stop now!

I do use worsted, usually Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn because it's just my favorite acrylic yarn (so soft and not stiff). The rainbow hat was a big mix of random worsted acrylics from stash.
