Hi all!

It was about time I posted a project again! It has been a while..

Browsing internet and Pinterest I came across a simple knitted and crochet vest. Very simple, just a rectangle with two slits for the arms. I loved it and made my own version.

My inspiration:
Here is the first link.

And here's the other one.

the front:

And the backside:

And here it is flat on my bed. In the pic it looks weird and not straight, but it really is.

It was done in DC's. By crocheting back posts only, I created the stripes. One side is a bit longer than the other side, to make the front assymetric. When I was finished I added SC's all around. That's it!
I really love it!

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

I never would have known that this was just a rectangle! The collar is really lovely and it fits nicely!

Can you give a link to a pattern?  I would love to try some clothing other than scarves, hats and mitts!

You look so cute in it!  I bet you will wear it a lot in the winter and even into early spring!

Thank you for posting this!  I printed out the pattern.  It looks like something I can do.  Question, though...is there modifications for size?  I take a size 2x, and you, in the one you made, do NOT look like a 2x.  Any suggestions?

Scratch that, I just followed the other link and it gives instructions on how to make it bigger.  Now I want to make one for everyone I know! Grin

Thanks so much, Wendy, for the links!  I have not made any clothing in crochet that I have liked...I really love this and will get yarn to make it this week!

LBABB--I bet you will have yours done in no time!  It is nice that the pattern allows for other sizes...I think it would be flattering for everyone!

Thanks Lindy! Yes I was surprised too when I found out it was just a rectangle. Oh so simple, no more counting stitches haha!  Smiley

Oh Linda, you should make one! Very easy and pretty quick. I used a blend of 50% wool and 50% acrylic and my 7mm hook.
You posted a houndstoot crochet shawl last year, which I made two of, haha   Cheesy So it is fun if you make something I posted  Wink

No you are wrong, we can be twins except you have brown hair and I'm grey  Grin haha!
It really is fun, patterns all over the world!

Our sons got a pretty knitted sweater from a Norwegian friend of ours. We met many people in Norway with that sweater, but no one here in the Netherlands. I love that! We took a small piece of Norway with us  Cheesy

I am wearing a piece of you Linda  Wink
